In dieser Woche fing der Donnerstag für mich verdammt früh an ;). Um 6:50 Uhr war ich vor der H&M Filiale in Köln und es war schon ganz schön viel los kann ich euch sagen. Zum Glück stand ein Freund von mir etwas weiter vorne in der Schlange und ich konnte mich dazu stellen. Als endlich die Tore geöffnet wurden, stürmten wir alle regelrecht auf die Sachen zu und ich habe nach allem gegriffen was in meine Hände gepasst hat. Schließlich habe ich mich für 11 Teile entschieden (1 davon für meine Mutter und 1 für meinen Freund).

Ich muss sagen, dass ich H&M wirklich mag. Jede hat ja ihre Lieblingsmarke für preiswertere Mode und Basics. Manche gehen zu Zara während ich bei H&M oft fündig werde. Jedes Jahr ist die Designerkooperation von H&M ein kleines Fashionhighlight für mich und ich bin immer sehr gespannt auf die verschiedenen Gastdesigner und Ihre Kollektionen. Bis jetzt war meine Lieblingskollektion Maison Martin Margiela X H&M und ich habe nach und nach quasi alle Stücke der Kollektion gekauft.

Dieses Jahr bringt uns Alexander Wang seine GYM Kollektion in die Stores. Ich muss zugeben, dass ich eigentlich keine großer Fan des Designers war, da mir die Sachen oft zu monochrom und minimalistisch sind, wie z.B. seine Kollektionen bei Balenciaga. Der sportliche, plakative Stil dieser Kollektion aber hat mich direkt angesprochen. Klar, die Logos sind übergroß. Aber ich bin Russin und insgeheim mag ich diesen „in your face“ Style. Ich wollte mich bei dieser Kollektion auch ein wenig neu entdecken und diese sportliche Fashion-Variante in meinen Kleiderschrank bringen. Die Kollektion ist fast komplett ausverkauft und ich bin wirklich froh meine Lieblingsstücke ergattert zu haben.

Geshootet haben wir diesmal am Kölner Hauptbahnhof, der wegen des Streiks schön leer war :D. Die Location spiegelt diese ständige Bewegung und Kraft der Kollektion wieder und hat daher einfach perfekt gepasst. Die Fotos hat die wahnsinnig talentierte Maria Althaus gemacht. Es war wirklich toll mit ihr zusammenzuarbeiten und hat sehr viel Spaß gemacht!

This week’s Thursday started for me damn early ;). Around 6:50 I was in front of the H&M store in Cologne and I can tell you it was already pretty busy. Luckily I spotted a friend of mine a little further forward in the line so I placed myself next to him. When the gates were finally opened, we all rushed to get hold of the things we desire and I grabbed simply everything that fitted into my small hands. Finally, I have bought 11 pieces of the collection (including one for my mother and one for my boyfriend).

I must say that I really like H&M. Each girl has indeed their favorite brand for cheaper fashion and fashion basics. Some prefer Zara while I often find good pieces at H&M. Each year the designer collaboration of H&M is a small fashion highlight for me and I’m always very excited about the different guest designers and their collections. Until now, my favorite collection was Maison Martin Margiela X H&M and I’ve bought almost all pieces of the collection.

This year we get Alexander Wang’s GYM collection into the H&M stores. I must admit that I was not really a big fan of the designer until now, because his creations are often too monochrome and minimalistic for me, such as his collections for Balenciaga. The sporty, bold style of this collection however spoke to me directly. Sure, the logos are oversized. But I am Russian and I secretly like this “in your face” style of the collection. I wanted to reinvent myself with this collection and bring this sporty fashion into my wardrobe. The collection is almost completely sold-out and I’m really glad I was able to get my favorite pieces.

As Location for the shooting we have chosen the Cologne Central Station, which was pretty empty because of the nation wide strike. The location reflects this constant movement and power of the collection and therefore was a perfect fit. The amazingly talented photographer Maria Althaus took the photos and it was a pleasure and so much fun to work with her.
